Moleskin is well known for being both an extremely soft and durable fabric which has made it ideal for workwear and the French are one of the most common to use it for work and chore jackets. There have been a few different styles made over the years, my favorite of the styles replicated here is a lesser known single breasted suit jacket style from the mid 20th century.
My jacket replicates all the details of the original including three buttons, three exterior patch pockets and one interior breast pocket, as well as a belted back. The fabric is a 100% cotton black moleskin fabric.
